# Rollei (Rolleimetric, now Trimble) Aerial Camera - With Phase One!

Did you know Rollei built aerial camera using their lenses and shutters, combined with Phase One Digital Backs:

This is pretty interesting, given that Phase one now makes their own aerial cameras and shutters - I wonder how much of Rollei lives on in their current designs?

Also interesting is that Trimble holds a patent for this camera design, seen in the header. It has a very interesting feature - if I understood the description correctly. Basically, the cameras has stepper motor (seen at the bottom of the above image?) that shifts the digital back up to 0.2mm, to compensate for the forward motion of your aircraft or whatever during each exposure.
